Vaccinations are one of the most important tools the doctors at Apollo Pet Hospital & Resort have to protect your pet against disease. We recommend the first round of vaccinations between six (6) and eight (8) weeks of age.

Canine Vaccines

Our doctors have your new puppy’s health at the forefront of their minds when recommending a vaccine protocol to prevent disease. Puppies between the ages of six (6) and eight (8) weeks should all be vaccinated against diseases such as Canine Distemper virus, Adenovirus, Parainfluenza virus, Parvovirus, and 4 strains of Leptospirosis. Rabies vaccination is required for all dogs at three months of age.

We also require our boarding dogs to be vaccinated against Canine Infectious Respiratory Diseases (C.I.R.D.) like kennel cough.

Feline Vaccines

Kitten vaccinations also begin between six (6) and eight (8) weeks of age. The vaccine protocol required by our doctors includes panleukopenia (feline distemper), feline calicivirus, feline herpes virus type I (rhinotracheitis), and rabies.

Your new puppy or kitten deserves the best protection against these potentially life-threatening diseases. Please call one of our caring staff members at Apollo to ensure your pet is properly vaccinated today!
